Graphic Design + Web Development Portfolio

Hi, I'm Matt Terry. Welcome to my site. I'm a Freelance Drupal Developer in Brighton UK. Recently I installed an SSD on my MBP. It was easily the best computer upgrade I've ever made and now my laptop runs at least twice as fast.

Boot time is maybe 10 seconds, Photoshop runs like a dream and my localhost server absolutely flys, which makes developing drupal websites even quicker.

Since the technology is still in it's infancy there are a lot of contradicting and out dated blog posts out there, so I thought I'd share what I found out here.

The main purpose of this Drupal marketing video is as a screensaver to use before presentations.

I'll update it with different animations to better represent each slogan.

Let me know if you want any different slogans.

It's rendered in Blender using the new Cycles render engine.

The Drupal typographic logo was refreshed a while ago with the drupal.org site rebranding.

I felt it was time to refresh the Drupal icon (the Druplicon). I didn't want to make any drastic changes, just tidy it up a bit. The shape of the eyes is a little different since the current logo isn't quite symmetrical in 3d.

What do you think? Tweet your thoughts with the hashtag #druplicon2012.

The icon is made in Blender, and rendered using the new Cycles renderer - I have a fun little animation too, but you'll have to wait to see that.

More fun with Blender and the Cycles render engine.

This time with my new icon logo for my personal 2012 rebrand, I figured if it's the end of the world then I might as well go out with a Bang.

This particular graphic is for the front of my new business card.

Did I mention I'll be a freelancer again soon :)

Interested in taking on some Blender, Unity, UX, graphics, Drupal etc jobs, looking for interesting projects with fun people.

Recently I've been getting back into Blender, the amazing Open Source 3d package.

Blender has an excellent in built Physics Simulator for creating realistic liquids, smoke, cloth and so on. It's pretty easy to set up some simple water effects but hard to master.

One of the most recent additions to blender is an incredible new Cycles Render Engine, with real time previews of your rendered scene and extremely realistic glass, shadows and caustics.
