Souk Trading - Flash SiteTue, 09/09/2008 - 16:34 — mattSouk Trading is a Moroccan furniture supplier based in Brighton UK. In 2003/4 they decided their site needed some updating. I was called in to turn their html site into a nice little flash showcase site. The project went well and the client was happy with the results. They have recently changed over to a database driven site. I also set up a webshop for them but this never went live since the furniture is all quite big and heavy, which makes delivery very expensive. |
Flash PagesTue, 09/09/2008 - 18:37 — mattHere are 2 flash projects I did at wildcat to advertise jewellery. My Buddy Joe made the original Advert for these new picurebells. I developted the tequnique for rendering the picturebells in 3d so we didn't have to photograph them all. Then I took the photoshop file of the advert and made this flash page. These photos of the Glass jewellery are some of the best I took. Then Joe did the graphics for an A6 booklet that we sent out with all orders. Then I made the flash site as a dynamic version of the booklet. I was with wildcat for 3 years and learnt loads of skills. I look back with very fond memories of the crazy renegade state that is wildcat :) |
PoibotTue, 09/09/2008 - 20:00 — mattSoon after making the original spherculism site it became apparent that nobody had ever managed to simulate poi moves in a graphical way. There's many good juggling simulators, there's a cool one for diabolo but not one for poi. So I took it upon myself to make the first one, it's called poibot and I used Flash to build it. After that Poibot became a bit of celebrity and earned its right to become the official mascot. Here's a closer look at the illustration I did for the dvd. I made the 3d model using Z-brush, then painted all the robotic bits in photoshop. The arms at the back are all traced from video footage in the dvd, so it's an amalgamation of all of us using all our different toys. |
